Trump suspends tariffs on Mexico 'indefinitely' after deal on immigration reached

President Trump claimed the U.S. had reached a signed agreement with Mexico to stop the tariffs

After three days of negotiations over U.S. President Donald Trump ’s threats to impose 5% tariffs on all Mexican goods on Monday, President Trump tweeted on Friday that the U.S. had reached a signed agreement with Mexico to stop the tariffs. He added that Mexico had agreed to “take strong measures to stem the tide of migration” to the U.S. southern border.
