Judge Alan S. Fine
on Monday set bail for Mexican soap opera actor Pablo Lyle at USD$50,000 and prohibited him from leaving Miami until his next court hearing on May 1 in the death of a man whom the actor hit in a road rage fight.
The actor's mother fainted at his court hearing, and Lyle's lawyers said that he only punched the victim once and never intended to kill anyone, thus arguing that the man's death was not a homicide.
Yesterday, Lyle had to hand in his passport, which will prevent him from leaving the United States until the case is solved. The victim’s defense requested that he be banned from traveling during the trial and that a GPS monitor be placed on him. The Mexican actor will also be banned from driving a car since he is now considered a “violent person.”
Pablo Lyle was forced to quit his latest project, a long feature Mexican film called “Instrucciones para Su.”
Yesterday, the production made official the actor’s withdrawal by his own choice shortly after he appeared in court in Miami.
The actor’s wife, Ana Araujo , as well as the son of Juan Ricardo Hernández, the 63-year-old Cuban that passed away last Thursday at the Jackson Hospital in Miami , also attended the hearing.
Shortly after the hearing, Antonio Urdapilleta , the film producer, pointed out that the shooting would remain unchanged, though they would have to replace him with Giuseppe Gamba (“Rosario Tijeras”).
