A federal judge prevented the Attorney General's Office (FGR) from auctioning Emilio Lozoya's home and its contents. The former Pemex director is accused of fraud, money laundering, and bribery.
The Thirteenth Judge in the Amparo Circuit in Criminal Matters in Mexico City granted Emilio Lozoya a definitive suspension since he was looking to recover the property located in Lomas de Bezares , in Mexico City.
The property is currently being guarded by the Attorney General's Office as part of an investigation against Lozoya .
The verdict issued by the judge says: “ Emilio Lozoya is granted the definitive suspension so that the possessions are maintained in their current state and (the property) is not auctioned, disposed of, sold, or transferred to third parties.”
The property was seized on May 28 , when elements from the Attorney General's Office raided the home in hopes of arresting Lozoya.
Currently, the former Pemex director is at large and is wanted in 190 countries . There are rumors claiming he is in Germany , where his wife is from.
