Singer Gerardo Ortiz is in prison

Banda singer Gerardo Ortiz is currently at the state prison of Puente Grande, Jalisco, after his arrest for a presumed apology of crime in a video, according to the office of the state Attorney General.

Ortiz was arrested yesterday at the International Airport of Guadalajara after his arrival from the city of Culiacán, Sinaloa.

Ortiz is considered innocent until proven guilty, according to Mexican laws.
