The Canadian company Cirque du Soleil is preparing a tribute show to Soda Stereo.
Zeta Bosio and Charly Alberti, two members of the legendary rock band led by the late Gustavo Cerati, will participate in it, the Argentinean newspaper La Nación reported today.
The show will premiere in Buenos Aires in March 2017, and will be taken to Chile and Mexico.
"All of us had to recall memories. We had to explain the aesthetic brought by each new album, the scenic display of each live performance. They wanted to understand what happened to each one of us in that time, and what happens to us when we remember it now," Charly Alberti said.
The musician added that the "possibility of reinterpreting the work" of the band, that became very popular in Latin America in the 1980s and 1990s, was "fascinating".
