
According to an announcement published by the General Management of Social Communication (DGCS) of the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM) , the Architecture Department of the UNAM has opened its doors on October 9 to share the academic facilities with 180 students of the Architecture, Art, and Design Department of the Technological Institute of Monterrey (ITESM), Mexico City Campus , after the latter suffered damaged during the September 19 earthquake.
The students of the ITESM were invited by the director of the Architecture Department Marcos Mazari Hiriart, and allowed full access to libraries, computing centers, and the rest of the facilities, in addition to being able to attend the cultural, academic, and sports events held within the facility of the Architecture Department.
The National Dean of the Architecture, Art, and Design Department of the ITESM, Dr. Roverto Íñiguez, and the Regional Dean of Mexico City, Ramiro Estrada, thanked the UNAM for their kind offer and the unity they have shown towards their community.
