Mexico's Meteorological Service System (SNM) reported this Sunday the third winter storm of the season will hit the Northeast of Mexico and will continue interacting with cold front system No. 17, causing a pronounced decrease in temperature across the region.
Heavy rains and strong winds with a maximum wind speed over the 60km/h are expected throughout the Northeast of the country.
Snowfall
has been predicted for the mountain areas in Baja California, Sonora, Chihuahua, and Durango.
In the North Pacific, skies will remain partly cloudy with possibility of heavy rainfalls in Sinaloa and Sonora .
Meanwhile, the center of the country is expected to maintain mild temperatures during the day although strong rains are predicted in the states of Nayarit and Jalisco.
The South Pacific and the Gulf of Mexico are expected to see warm to mild temperatures during the day, with winds ranging between 25 to 40 km/h.
