Today, President Andrés Manuel López Obrador had breakfast with Morena lawmakers and senators . Senator Ricardo Monreal said the invitation was also extended to PES and PT members. The reason behind the meeting is to discuss the legislative agenda , as on previous occasions. What will the opposition parties think about this meeting?

What’s going on with the new education laws?

Minister Esteban Moctezuma

met with Morena senators on Wednesday. Senators questioned the Education Minister about the developments of the National Educational Agreement and the New Mexican School . Moctezuma told Morena legislators that he visited Sinaloa , Guerrero , and Jalisco and that he would visit Durango today to make sure that the new rules are being implemented.

From outsourcing to trade unions

The improvement of labor conditions almost turned into deceit . In November 2019, the lower chamber promised to end with outsourcing in Congress and hire the 400 cleaning staff. We’ve been told that a man told the workers to attend a meeting on January 18, where they asked them to join a union in order to be hired by the lower chamber. Later, they learned the union they were asked to join is allegedly controlled by Pedro Haces , a Morena Senator . However, the good thing is they will be officially hired in February, without the need to join a shady union .

Morena turns its back on Porfirio Muñoz Ledo

defended and showed their support for Francisco Garduño , the head of the Migration Institute after Porfirio Muñoz Ledo demanded his resignation , as a result of the operation launched to detain and deport Central American migrants . Once again, the lawmakers have turned their backs on Muñoz Ledo in less than a week. Last Wednesday, Muñoz Ledo wasn’t allowed to talk to the head of the CNDH , Rosario Piedra Ibarra , to express his outrage in regards to the operation launched against migrants .
