During a short presentation at Mexico’s Olympic Committee (COM) , Alejandro Reyes pointed out that his main motivation in making the series was “ a wish to ennoble the heroes of Mexico in 1968, some of which have been forgotten .”
“We have brought together the voices of one hundred former athletes, judges, volunteers, journalists, and family members who witnessed these historic games,” said Reyes, adding that the planning process for the project had started in the early days of 2018.

The series is divided into 16 chapters of 25 minutes each . They will focus on the most important events of the 1968 Olympics, as well as the most memorable moments of Mexico’s finest athletes.
According to Reyes, the hardest part of the project was unifying the testimonies of so many people,” we had to filter everything into an individual format to render a general idea of the games.”
