Mexican YouTuber filed to run for Puebla governor

Academics, politicians, and even a YouTuber with over 20 million followers have been included on the list of people who are now looking for support among local deputies to become acting governors of Puebla after the tragic event that led to the death of governor Martha Erika Alonso on December 24 .

Fans of Luis Arturo Villar Sudek, a Mexican YouTuber better known as “Luisito Comunica,” have filed the celebrity before Puebla legislators to run for Puebla governor.

Luisito Comunica has 20.85 million followers on YouTube and a degree in Communication Sciences from the Meritorious Autonomous University of Puebla (BUAP) .

The president of the Superior Justice Tribunal (TSJ) of Puebla, Héctor Sánchez Sánchez; the former rector of the BUAP, José Doger Corte; the councillor of Morena at the Mexico City council, Rosa Márquez Cabrera; the former standardbearer of the PVEM political party in 2018, Paola Migoya Velázquez, and other politicians are interested in the position.

A few hours ago, Luisito Comunica launched a YouTube video to clarify that he had no intention of running for governor and that he was just as surprised as anyone else by his being included on the list.

Later in the day, he tweeted: "I will say it loud and clear. I'm not being sarcastic, I'm not kidding, don't take me out of context: I DO NOT WANT TO BE GOVERNOR OF ANY STATE. I have not filed to run for office in any registry, I don't know where the news came from. I am not related to politics in any way."
