The 7th edition of Gallery Weekend CDMX will take place from September 5 to 8. This year, 40 galleries will be part of the program.
According to the organizers, during Gallery Weekend CDMX , “ gallerists of the city (and the country) join in their interest to reinforce the gallery as a space not only for art selling but also for exhibiting , exchanging and dialoguing . Year after year, the Gallery Weekend CDMX program places art on the country’s agenda for a week, giving visibility to the city’s solid network of galleries and promoting the collecting of art among the inhabitants of the country.”
has become one of the most popular art event s among g allery owners, collectors, artists , and the public . Gallery Weekend is a 4-day program where art galleries inaugurate new projects and organize other activities.
On September 6, Gallery Weekend CDMX 2019 will inaugurate an art book fair, Paper Works, where you can buy art books from independent editors and buy books and pieces from the artists themselves.
Also, Gallery Weekend CDMX will launch an interactive map in collaboration with Google Map s.
Some of the galleries that will participate are Nina Menocal, Alterna, Luis Adelantado, Artbaena, Ethra, kurimanzutto, Enrique Guerrero, Patricia Conde, de Arte Mexicano, Flux//XZone, Proyecto Paralelo, Proyecto México Antiguo, le laboratoire, ArtSpace México, L, Espacio A + T Fundación Telefónica, Páramo, Emma Molina, Ladrón, Licenciado, Arróniz, OMR, Monclova, and Hilario Galguera .
