is the first Day of the Dead thematic park will have interactive, colorful shows and optical effects. The park is located in Guadalajara , with the aim of promoting Mexican traditions and the love for our country's culture.
This dark and mysterious park is invaded by the smell of incense, candles and Mexican marigold , which will have 20 attractions and will be open for a short time, from October 25 to November 18.
Marcos Jiménez,
the park's director and creator, says that the idea is that people have an “immersive experience” in regards to this tradition , considered as part of the World Heritage .

explained that the park's concept was created four years ago and that movies such as “ Spectre ”, the James Bond movie that recreated a Day of the Dead parade in Mexico City , and “ Coco ”, from Disney Pixar, strengthened the idea to finalize the project.
The visitors can travel through the Mictlán , the Aztec underworld , accompanied by an Indigenous priest, also known as “ chamán ”, who will guide to through a colorful forest, where every tree is alive.
Visitors can also visit the cemetery , full of candles and flowers, where they can find a hologram, travel in a “ trajinera ”, raft, decorated with skulls and flowers, visiting a little Mexican town, or turning into a skull .
In the heart of the journey, there is a monumental altar with bread, beverages, candles, flowers, and religious images.
