Arturo Herrera, Mexico’s Finance Minister, tests positive for COVID-19

Mexico’s Finance Minister , announced he tested positive for COVID-19 through his Twitter account.

He explained he has mild symptoms and that he will remain in quarantine and work from home.

Me acaban de comunicar que di positivo en la prueba de Covid19. Tengo síntomas muy menores. A partir de este momento estaré en cuarentena, y continuaré trabajando desde mi casa.

On June 18, the government official traveled to Hidalgo with President Andrés Manuel López Obrador.

He was spotted at the President’s office on June 22, where Interior Minister Olga Sánchez Cordero was also in attendance.

Public Administration Minister Irma Eréndira Sandoval and Profeco director Ricardo Sheffield have also tested positive but quickly recovered.
