Felipe Ehrenberg honored in Spain

In Spain, they were a little faster than in Mexico to organize a tribute to artist Felipe Ehrenberg. It turns out that the Institute of Mexico in Spain and the Gallery Freijo of Madrid will carry out today, at the premises of the Institute, an act of remembrance to the artist after three weeks of his passing. Ehrenberg's friends and colleagues seek to recall his uniqueness and highlight the imprint he left on the international art scene.

The meeting will be done away from the protocols and will be based on the narration of memories, the reading of references, the use of sound pieces, comments on different works or reinterpretations of some of his visual scores.

João  Fernandez, Gerardo Mosquera, Fernando Castro Flores, Marta Ramos Izquierdo, Bartolomé Ferrando, Diana Cuellar Ledesma, Fernando Llanos, Ximena Pérez Grobet, Nieves Correa and Abel Louredo and Alvaro Terrones added themselves to the celebration.

The event will open with the documentary "Puntos de Encuentro" (Meeting points), by Valentina Pelayo, made in 2016 in Mexico and the United States.

In Mexico, it will be until August that the artist will be honored. At the moment it's only known that the event will be held in the Fernando Gamboa Room at the Modern Art Museum with a table of reflection in which guests will talk about the attractiveness of the creator and the influence that his work has had on the national artistic landscape.
