President Peña Nieto praises Macron win

Mexican president Enrique Peña Nieto congratulated French president-elect, Emmanuel Macron, Sunday, after the pro-EU centrist became the youngest future tenant of The Élysée Palace.

President Peña Nieto posted a message on his twitter account where he praised Macron's win and assured continuity of the Mexican-French relations:"My warmest compliments to the winner of the French presidential elections, Emmanuel Macron."

He added that "Mexico will continue to strengthen its strategic alliance with France under Emmanuel Macron."
