Zack Snyder, one of the masterminds behind the DC universe and Warner Bros movies, has left the set of Justice League because of the death of his daughter, Autumn, 20, who committed suicide last March, informed the Hollywood Reporter yesterday.
The man in charge of completing the film will be Joss Whedon, who directed the first to entries of The Avengers for Disney.
Deborah Snyder, Zack's wife and also producer of the film, has also stepped off the project.
Sources of the Reporter claim Justice League is in post-production phase, although there will be some reshoots in England soon. This way, the premiere date already set for November 17, will not be affected.
At the beginning, Zack Snyder had originally thought of taking a couple of weeks off and go back to work since he thought it would be therapeutic to return to the set and bury himself completely into it, but now he says that the demands of the job are too intense and consume people entirely.
Toby Emmerich, president of Warner Bros said that the group strongly supports Snyder's decision and supports it.
Snyder has directed Man of Steel (2013) and Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice (2016), besides producing other films in WB's superhero universe such as Suicide Squad, Wonder Woman and Aquaman.
