Rapper wanted in U.S. for murder arrested in Mexico

Chicano rapper José Martín was arrested in Mexico where he had been on the run after being accused of killing a 25-year-old male at a party in Los Angeles in 2002.

Martín, who's known by the stage name “Conejo”, is believed to have performed regularly as a Chicano artist in Baja California, Mexico for years.

A spokesman for the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) confirmed his arrest by Mexican authorities.

While on the run, Martín launched his own record company and even set up a clothing line.

Martín has since been extradited to Los Angeles, where he awaits trial for murder.
