The National Commission of Security (CNS), led by Renato Sales, will continue to join forces with the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement Agency (ICE) to fight transnational crimes of drug and human trafficking.
Intelligence works and exchange of information between the Mexican Federal Police and the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement Agency (ICE) will allow both nations to “exceed the results reached this year” in order to prevent human trafficking with a view to labor or sexual exploitation.
Thimothy J. Tubbs, U.S. Homeland Security Investigations attaché, visited the Mexican Commission of Security where he presented a special recognition to the Commissioner of the Mexican Federal Police, Manelich Castilla Cravioto “for the joint efforts that have allowed important confiscations and the dismantling of criminal groups”.
“We acknowledge the efforts been made by the Mexican Federal Police, with whom we have completed successful operations in which we have exchanged efforts and, at the same time, we have learned from their commitment and professionalism”, Tubbs, added.
The heads of the Mexican Intelligence Division, Damián Canales Mena, and of the Mexican Antidrug Agency, Juan Carlos Silva Luján, were also acknowledged by Tubbs.
For his part, Manelich Castilla, endorsed the instruction of the head of Mexican Comission of Security, Renato Sales, to encourage the close coordination at a working level between the Mexican and American agencies to jointly face the crimes that have an impact on both nations.
