“All of us together have superpowers. We're not going to sit here with our arms crossed and not put up a fight,” says Eugenio Derbez in a recent video uploaded to Youtube.
The video directed by the Guadalajara native Patricia Riggen (director of La misma luna and Los 33) urges the Latino community in the United States to vote on November 8.
Those in the video have a lot to say about Donald Trump. The singer Angélica María says that Trump is someone “who hates Latinos,” and the the Venezuelan turned U.S. citizen Alicia Machado calls him a racist, misogynist and violent.
Kate del Castillo, Adriana Barraza, Diego Boneta and the retired boxer Oscar de la Hoya also appear in the video.
“We have to stand together. We Latinos have that power, there are 55 million of us in the U.S. You think that isn't a lot?” Kate asks viewers.
The video is similar to the one released a few weeks ago by actors from the Avengers, such as Robert Downey Jr. and Scarlett Johansson, who urge U.S. citizens to vote for Hillary Clinton.
