A fifth grade teacher in San Luis Potosí was arrested on 10 separate counts of sexually abusing his underage students.
Police officers arrested the teacher on Friday after an arrest warrant was issued in his name by the Supreme Court of the State of San Luis Potosí.
The San Luis Potosí Attorney General's Office refused to disclose the name of the teacher, who's said to have “fondled” the young girls.
In May 2015, several of the victims' parents filed complaints against the teacher with the Humans Rights Commission, who accused him of touching his students in front of the entire classroom and then threatened them. “He would threaten all of the students so that they wouldn't tell their parents, and since he covered all of the classroom's windows with curtains, nobody ever saw what was going on inside,” said the state prosecutor.
The teacher filed several appeals that allowed him to remain free for over a year; however, he was finally arrested on November 18.
