Agents of the Federal Police seized a shipment of 105 kilos (231.5 pounds) of cocaine on the stretch of Victoria-Matamoros highway.
Federal Police agents stopped a Volvo truck with plates of Veracruz and found 100 duct-tape wrapped packages containing the drug inside a hidden compartment.
The agents arrested the driver of the truck, who was identified as José Miguel, 30, from the state of Veracruz.
The driver said he departed from the city of Xalapa, Veracruz and was heading to Reynosa, Tamaulipas.
The drug and the driver were made available to the Federation Public Ministry to open the corresponding investigation.
