Mexico's ruling Revolutionary Institutional Party (PRI) is considering the possibility of challenging the results in up to seven states after Sunday elections in 14 regions,
The states in question are Aguascalientes, Durango, Chihuahua, Veracruz, Quintana Roo, Puebla and maybe Tamaulipas.
The first recount would be demanded in Aguascalientes, Veracruz, and Durango.
"The National Executive Committee of the Revolutionary Institutional Party, headed by bachelor Manlio Fabio Beltrones is technically and legally considering, according to the first results presented by the election agencies ... the possibility of challenging the elections for governor," expressed the PRI in a press release.
The release added that it is possible that the party will also challenge the elections "in the states of Aguascalientes, Veracruz, and Durango".
