The will be no dialogue with the National Coordination of Education Workers (CNTE) until blockades in Oaxaca and Chiapas are lifted, Interior Minister Miguel Ángel Osorio Chong said.
In a radio interview with Leonardo Curzio, Osorio explained that the meeting scheduled for today is with the people of Nochixtlán -where eight people died in a clash between police forces and teachers- and not with the members of the teachers union.
Osorio said that the protests affect the people of Oaxaca and Chiapas, whose freedoms have been curtailed.
He said that the rule of law must be applied and reiterated that the government will not negotiate the education reform.
