The authorities of the state of Puebla confirmed the killing of 11 people in an armed attack in the municipality of Coxcatlán, near the state of Oaxaca.
The first reports mentioned the killing of nine people in different houses of the community of El Mirador, but the authorities found 11 bodies instead.
The victims have been identified as two minors, five women, and four men. Also, three wounded kids have been taken to a hospital in the municipality of Tehuacán.
The first reports also point to religious motivations behind the killings, due to a face-off between Catholic and Evangelist families, lasting for many years.
