Tension in Teotihuacán after lynching

More than a thousand state police officers are in the town of Santiago Atlatongo, in the municipality of Teotihuacán, in order to rescue a woman who has been subjected to constant beatings by the locals, under suspicion of being a kidnapper.

Another man who was captured by the locals and who was also beaten at the kiosk of the esplanade was taken to the state of Hidalgo, where their presumed victim is being held.

Another presumed kidnapper, a 45-year-old man, was beaten to death by the locals at the esplanade.

The state officers deployed there are awaiting orders to dissolve the crowds, which also attacked members of the press, or wait until the locals decide to go home themselves.
