The Office of the Attorney General of the State of Mexico reported that the presumed female kidnapper rescued from the esplanade of Santiago Atlatongo after being beaten by the locals, died on arrival at a local hospital.
So far, two presumed kidnappers have been beaten to death in the hands of some 500 locals, who blame them for the disappearance of a minor.
According to the authorities, 18 people have been arrested for their alleged participation in the acts of violence in the community.
It all began when two men and a woman were taken by dozens of locals to the kiosk of the central esplanade of the city, killing a 45-year-old man in situ.
The other man survived and the authorities are investigating the allegations against him.
