Sistine Chapel replica to be installed at the Plaza de la República

A replica of the Sistine Chapel is being installed at Mexico City's Plaza de la República, that houses the Revolution monument.

The temporary museum will be open from Tuesday to Sunday from 10:00 to 18:00 hrs. The inauguration date has not been announced yet.

The replica was originally planned for the visit of Pope Francis, but it was delayed due to logistic problems.

The Sistine Chapel is decorated with frescoes by Michelangelo.
