Police offices and federal agents were attacked last night in two points of Acapulco, Guerrero by armed men.
The attacks, carried out against Hotel Alba Suites, where police officers stay, and the offices of Mexico's Federal Police on 125 Costera, left one police officer injured and one assailant dead.
Xavier Olea Peláez, attorney general of Guerrero, said that the attacks were a reaction to the recent arrests made by authorities. Local media reported that the shootings lasted more than two hours.
On Twitter, Mexico's federal police said that the situation has been controlled and that it does not pose any danger to citizens.
