Three students from Guerrero will travel to the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) after winning the first National Science and Engineering Fair (Fenaci) by Conacyt.
Five other students from the states of Sinaloa, Guanajuato, Jalisco and San Luis Potosi will attend to the scientific conferences hosted by the European Organization for Nuclear Research (CERN) in Geneva, Switzerland.
In addition, 28 other students will travel to Arizona, U.S., to represent Mexico in the Intel International Science and Engineering Fair 2016 to be held from May 8 to 3, reported the News Agency of the Mexican Council for Science and Technology (Conacyt).
During the award ceremony at the premises of Conacyt, general director of the institution, Enrique Cabrero Mendoza said that young people are necessary to boost Mexico's transition towards a knowledge-based society and economy.
"Conacyt wants to motivate the youngsters to develop their scientific and technological vocations," he said.
Cabrero added that young people are not the country's development future but the present, and their enthusiastic participation in projects such as those awarded show their intelligence and their capacity to innovative.
