Harland Braun, attorney of Kate del Castillo, said that she will continue working as an actress and still plans to produce a movie about Joaquín "El Chapo" Guzmán Loera, leader of the Sinaloa cartel.
"Kate will tell how he rose from his humble origins to become a drug trafficker. She will tell both, the good and the bad things, and she will do it correctly because Joaquín Guzmán Loera is part of Mexican history, like the mafia has been part of American history," Braun said in an interview with Sergio Sarmiento.
He added that for Kate to be questioned, Mexico would need to observe a treaty between Mexico and the United States and added that she would need to be prepared for the interrogatory.

Braun explained that Kate needs to be informed about the questions that would be posed to her and that she would need to be interrogated in the United States.
"Kate del Castillo has never received any money from Guzmán, there is no financial link (between them) and U.S. authorities know so, neither for the movie nor for the tequila company headed by her, " Braun explained.
He added that for the time being there are no indications that she is being investigated in the United States and that the allegations made by Mexico's Attorney General Arely Gómez that del Castillo is being investigated for alleged money laundering are “ridiculous".
