Wood mixed with cocaine seized in Mexico

The Mexican Ministry of the Navy reported the seizure, done in coordination with the Tax Administration Service (SAT), of wood planks allegedly contaminated with cocaine in the port of Manzanillo, Colima.

The operation was carried in the Contecon warehouse complex last February 5, after a routine inspection on the containers unloaded from the "MSC Susanna" ship from Guayaquil, Ecuador.

In a statement, the SAT pointed out that samples were sent to the relevant institutions to determine the correct type of substance combined with the wood and its proportion.
