Argentinean Damián Álvarez tied the score on the 70, and Juninho got the second goal for the locals just four minutes later.
America tried to regroup, but French André-Pierre Gignac scored the third time, and Sobis sealed the victory on the 84.
Tigres ended the game with 14 points, and America ended with 13.
