
Amid an intense security deployment, the body of journalist from Veracruz, Anabel Flores Salazar, was buried today in the municipal cemetery of Orizaba.
Dozens of agents of the Civil and Municipal police stood guard outside of the Soaicc funeral home, as the hearse was heading to the parish of Santa Gertrudis, where a funeral Mass was offered.
Anabel's family said they will not give interviews and asked reporters not to take pictures.
Anabel Flores Salazar, a crime-beat reporter for a local newspaper El Buen Tono and El Sol de Orizaba, was dragged from her home in Orizaba, Veracruz by armed assailants on Monday.
Her body was discovered on a highway in the neighboring state of Puebla and later identified by family members.
