The Governor of Jalisco, Aristóteles Sandoval, is on the way to recovery after a successful surgery to repair the injuries he suffered in a motorcycle accident this morning.
According to the state government via Twitter, his recovery will take approximately two weeks, but he will continue working during his convalescence.
A metal plate has been attached to his right ankle with seven screws and according to the doctors he also presents sprained lumbar and cervical vertebrae, but they do not mean a particular complication to his recovery.
The Governor was riding on his motorcycle this morning when he had an accident. A picture of his damaged helmet has been published on social networks.
