Toluca leaves Cruz Azul without playoffs

Cruz Azul has been eliminated from the Apertura 2015 tournament and lost all chances to go to playoffs, after losing by a score of 2-1 before Diablos Rojos Toluca.

Enrique Triverio and Antonio Ríos sealed the fate of the Cruz Azul with long distance goals. Triverio opened the score at 15 while Ríos sealed the counter on the 39.

Jorge Daniel Benítez scored the only goal for the locals.

With this result, Cruz Azul ends another season with no chance of victory in a league tournament, as it has been for the last 18 years.

Diablos Rojos, counting 29 points in the general ranking, are currently in the second place, with a game left.
