After a young man died as a result of a beating by two soccer players of first-division Necaxa, members of the Cafetaleros Tapachula haveTapachula have now been involved in an aggression against a person in a bar.
Former Under-17 world champion Julio Gómez is one of the alleged aggressors.
"La Momia" (The Mummy) Gómez and his colleagues in the Promotion League, Jesús Alejandro Dautt Ramírez, José Manuel Ayovi Plata, Julio César Pardini Sandoval, Carlos Alberto Cuevas Maldonado, Marco Argüelles Villarado, Diego de la Cruz, and José Domingo Cervantes, beat Enrique Mora Robledo until he blacked out, according to media.
Local press added that the victim denounced his attackers, pointed at Dautt Ramírez as directly responsible of the attack, and demanded payment for his medical expenses, a mobile phone and some US$600 which supposedly were stolen.
So far, there are no reactions from Cafetaleros and the Mexican Soccer Federation.
