Man lynched in Puebla was not a student, says his widow

Elsa González, widow of one of the two men lynched in Ajalpan, Puebla, on October 20, said that her husband was a hard-working, responsible and respectful person, and demanded that justice in the case.

The woman explained that she did not know why her husband, Rey David Copado Molina, had with him a student credential from the Technological University of Tulancingo, Hidalgo, because neither he nor his brother, José Abraham Copado, who was also killed, studied at this university.

"I'm against lynchings, they should have investigated first before doing such a thing,” González said.

She added that her husband had recently started working for the polling firm and added that they had two babies aged two.

At least four people have been arrested in connection with the case.
