President Barack Obama ruled out today that the leader among the Republican candidates to the White House, Donald Trump, will not succeed him as leader of the United States.
"I don't think he'll end up being president of the United States," Obama said in an interview with "60 Minutes" on CBS.
"He knows how to get attention. He is, you know, the classic reality TV character, and at this early stage, it's not surprising that he's gotten a lot of attention," Obama said of Trump.
He added that Trump has capitalized on the "genuine anti-immigrant sentiment in a large portion of at least Republican primary voters," although he stressed it was not "uniform" in the GOP.
With regard to the potential candidacy of vice-President Joe Biden, Obama said that he will leave the decision to him.
