Popocatépetl volcano registers 79 exhalations and 27 explosions

According to the National Center for Disasters Prevention (Cenapred) in the last 24 hours the monitoring system of Popocatépetl volcano registered 79 exhalations and 27 explosions, both of them were of low intensity.

During the day gas and steam emissions were observed.

Incandescence above the crater was observed during the night.

This type of activity is included within the Volcanic Traffic Light Yellow Phase 2.
