Three killed in violence in Acapulco

The violence gives no quarter in Acapulco. After three people were killed the previous day in the city, the Department of Public Security (SSP) reported the murder of other three in neighborhoods in downtown Acapulco.

According to reports from the SSP, the first incident occurred at around 1:30 in the morning, in front of the Plaza of the Mariachi, were an anonymous caller reported the presence of the body of a man shot to death.

When the authorities arrived they found a 20-year-old man and empty 9mm cartridges.

At around 11:30 a.m. received the report of another man killed in a street of the Centro neighborhood, again with 9mm cartridges found in the area.
Just an hour before, another man was shot to death in the area of Jardín Mangos, while another one was wounded near the bus station.

In spite of the police presence in the area, the relatives of the dead man decided to remove his body without waiting for the coroner arrival.

According to reports, since July 15 a total of 83 murders have been reported in Acapulco.
