Cuervos soccer team offers US$14 million for 'Chicharito'

The uncertainty about the future of Javier Hernández finally ended, at least in a parallel universe. Nexflix's "Club de Cuervos" series offered US$14 million for the Mexican forward to the Manchester United.

The fictitious Cuervos FC from the also fictitious city of Nuevo Toledo made the offer to the ManU "due to the lack of participation of Javier 'Chicharito' Hernández at the start of the 2015-16 season. "I make official my intentions to repatriate this net-breaker and get him for the Cuervos with a US$14 million negotiation and a three-year contract," expressed the character of "Chava," president of Cuervos, in an open letter published in Mexican newspapers.

In the series, Cuervos have never been a champion in the Mexican first division and its president wants to turn the team into the Real Madrid of Mexico. The first Mexican series for Netflix is taking very serious the make-believe aspect of its characters, to the point of maintaining Twitter accounts for them. "Three reasons for you to come here, @CH14_: 1. To reach a star, 2. To make history, 3. To not miss tacos," expressed Cuervos on its official Twitter account.

Quite probably, more than one person who does not know about the show fell for the joke. We'll just wait and see what happens.
