Photojournalist Rubén Espinosa is among the five corpses found Friday night in an apartment of the Narvarte neighborhood of Mexico City.
Espinosa was a collaborator for the Proceso weekly magazine, which reported his disappearance on Friday, and the next day reported his death, with one of his sisters as source.
Espinosa also worked for news agency Cuartoscuro, whose director Pedro Valtierra confirmed his death.
Valtierra said to EL UNIVERSAL that Espinosa felt threatened in the state of Veracruz. "He was very afraid," he said.
Proceso expressed that Espinosa left the state for that reason.
