Ten victims of kidnapping released in Matamoros

The people released from their imprisonment by the Navy are eight men and two women.

The Ministry of the Navy (Semar) rescued 10 people who had been kidnapped in Matamoros, Tamaulipas.

According to a press release, an anonymous denounce helped Marines in Matamoros, Tamaulipas, to locate two women and eight men, one of them a minor, held against their will in a house.

Three of the victims said that they had been kidnapped 21 days ago and they had been threatened in order to provide information about their relatives, who were then contacted on the telephone and extorted.

The victims were taken to the premises of the Office of the Attorney of the State in Matamoros.
