A 16-year-old mother was arrested in Cárdenas, Tabasco, for abusing her one year and seven months old baby.
The woman, identified as Fernanda, admitted beating her son in "revenge" because the child's father treats her the same way.
According to the staff, the mother took the child to hospital because he had a fever. However, when the doctors realized he had bruises on his arms, belly and near his genitalia, they filed a complaint at the municipal Office for Family Development (DIF).
Originally Fernanda said the baby had fallen out of bed, but the doctors did not believe her explanation, so she admitted tossing the baby to the floor, slapping him or hitting him with a piece of wood.
She is now under the custody of the Prosecutor's Office specialized in teenagers.
