A woman was killed and a one-year-old baby wounded, along other four people, as a result of an explosion in a warehouse of pyrotechnical devices in the community of La Pila, southwest of Silao, Guanajuato.
The explosion occurred at 4:30 a.m., and crashed down the roof of the warehouse, killing the woman and causing injuries to her husband and children, according to the local authorities.
Civil Defense personnel rescued the wounded and they were taken to the General Hospital of Silao.
According to preliminary investigations, the explosives were at the second floor of the building.
Firefighters and Civil Protection and Public Safety officers cordoned the area while military personnel are reviewing the building.
