Former president Calderón gets criticized in Venezuela

The former president of Mexico, Felipe Calderón, became the target of Venezuelan politicians following some postings on Twitter, criticizing the way their national team played against Colombia in the Copa America tournament.

The messages were forwarded by Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro.

"What a pity, the Venezuelan team plays such a dirty game. It seems like they were trained by Maduro," wrote Calderón Hinojosa on his Twitter account.

In a second post, he added that: "Well, with blows Colombia and Venezuela have just tied."

In response, Maduro posted a message written by the governor of the state of Aragua, Tareck El Aissami, who expressed the following: "You and your miserable history are DIRTY. RESPECT our people".

The comments against the former Mexican president continued from El Aissami's account.

"What the Mexican Felipillo said is the result of the hatred planted by the right #FelinarcoRespetaLaVinotinto," expressed the governor in reference to Calderón's alleged liaison with the opposition in Venezuela.

However, on his last comment Calderón praised the Venezuelan victory: "A very well-deserved triumph for the #Vinotinto."
