After 12 hours of meetings, representatives of the federal and state governments and laborers of San Quintín reached an agreement and decided to talk about the wage increase at a next meeting to be held on June 4.

Also they agreed that all workers will be registered at the National Social Security Institute (IMSS) for free, and that their wages will not be retained for any reason and will be paid on time.
Moreover an investment trust with contributions from the federal and state governments and the companies will be created for the development of the area within the next 60 days.
Authorities will also revise and address the housing, nourishment, security and hygiene needs of workers and verify that no children work in the fields.
