Colima volcano spewed a 1,000 meter column of gas this morning, Jalisco's Civil Protection Unit informed.
Yesterday the volcano spewed two columns, of 1,000 and 1,200 meters.
Authorities warned residents of the region to cover doors and windows with towels in case of ash fall, as well as using face masks and covering water storage tanks.
